“ps” for as long as I remember, some of the best moments come after the party, and when you know there is always a little more left to say.

Clear 10mm glass filled with neon and installed on a wood panel painted with Golden's SoFlat under a copy of Roses by The Paper Kites (see below).

Let’s walk above the city, you and I.

“Ø”

Scandinavian italic "Ø" installed inside infinity mirrors. Coated glass filled with argon + mercury. Completed and installed by Glas (Raleigh, NC).

"It is a sad upside-downness, which, however, is altogether too common, to talk on and on about how the object of love should be in order to be lovable enough, instead of talking about how love should be in order that it can love.”
— Søren Kierkegaard

“smiles in her sleep”

Coated 8mm glass filled with neon. Installed on a cradled wood panel painted with Golden’s SoFlat Matte Acrylic in Titanium White.

The majority of anything creative I’ve done has been inspired by someone else or my (wildly vivid) dreams. But this is from the quiet, waking peace of seeing someone you’ve come to love chase theirs.

For sale.

“in another life”

Coated 8mm glass filled with argon. Installed on a cradled wood panel painted with Golden’s SoFlat Matte Acrylic in Titanium White.

A piece on wading through the surprising - and not so surprising - waters of grief.

For sale.

“for better or for worse”

Pieces described above coming together as companions. Neon (top piece) is a brighter gas than argon (bottom piece) and displays as such in photos, but to the naked eye these two balance well together and create a rainbow prism on nearby walls.

For sale.

“TRIED”

adjective: found good, faithful, or trustworthy through experience

For my thirty-third birthday, I asked for fingerprints (ft. in orange) from a handful of dear friends — they are the light on the water and the sun through the sky.

10mm clear glass filled with Xenon, installed on a wood panel painted with Golden’s Ultramarine Blue over the blacklight-friendly Florescent Orange. Petroleum jelly was used for the paint-resist with the fingerprints. The first image is shown across from a blacklight, the second image is shown without it.

“always all ears”

Clear 10mm glass filled with argon + mercury. Installed on a cradled wood panel painted with Golden’s SoFlat Matte Acrylic in Titanium White.

“dancing in a desert storm” — taken from a dream inspired by the account of the Temptation of Christ in the Judean desert.

12mm colored Ruby and coated French Orange glass, filled with neon and neon + mercury, respectively at very low pressure with single electrodes. Rather than making a pattern, the glass was simply supported in the direction it seemed to already be created to move. Installed on a cradled wood panel painted with Golden’s SoFlat Matte Acrylic in Titanium White.

“the palm of the hand”

Clear 10mm glass filled with pure argon. Installed on a cradled wood panel painted with Golden’s SoFlat Matte Acrylic in Titanium White and Red Violet.

In loving honor and memory of Nicholas Dahl, inspired by a birthday poem he penned (of the same title) for his beloved best friend Mica Spicka and his penchant for the color purple.

“until you can sleep without fear”

Clear 8mm glass filled with neon and argon. Installed on a cradled wood panel painted with Golden’s SoFlat series and varnished.

Auctioned with all proceeds donated to Palestinian medical aid.

“Ida’s girls”

Clear 10mm glass filled with krypton and installed on double-panel acrylic with dried lavender on the sides. Inspired by the irreplaceable power of live music that waned during the early days of the pandemic. This piece was made after the first show I went to with friends once the world started to slowly bloom open again (Emily King, Bowery Ballroom, the night Hurricane Ida swept through).

For sale.

“tucked away”

Clear 10mm glass pocket filled with krypton repurposed from an unfinished piece and installed on double-panel acrylic.

For sale.

“when friends light the way”

Coated 8mm glass filled with neon and installed on double-panel acrylic.

“until” inspired by transit: jumpseat windows, the London tube, and LGA

Coated and clear glass filled with argon + mercury atop acrylic sheets etched by a Dremel. Completed and installed by Glas (Raleigh, NC).
